Ron and his wife Opal are honored to have been the ambassadors on the road for The Roy Rogers & Dale Evans Happy Trails Theater & Museum, located in Branson. They share in Roy and Dale’s love for God, family and country, and are promoting those same values across the USA.

Ron and Opal are recipients of the 2007 and 2008 Duo of the Year award presented by the International Country Gospel Music Association (CGMA) voted on by their peers. If you enjoy the old time gospel music and a good word of testimony, don’t miss this opportunity to hear Ron and Opal right here in Gallatin Saturday night.

Ron and Opal have been singing together for over 39 years, but just took their show and ministry on the road in 2000. They travel the U.S. extensively with seasonal emphasis in Arizona, southern California and the Northwestern states. God has given them a desire to share His goodness through song in a way that differs from today’s contemporary artists.

All age groups, and particularly our seniors, will find it a refreshing treat to hear that country, traditional, southern style gospel music once again. They sing the type of song featured on the Bill Gaither programs. In fact, the folks around Branson are now calling Opal "Little Vestal," because she sings in the same heart-felt feeling and song-style as Vestal Goodman. Ron is an accomplished steel guitarist right out of the country music capital of the world, Branson. He has played on shows with such greats as Web Pierce, Pretty Miss Norma Jean (of the Porter Wagoner Show), Barbara Fairchild and other Grand Ol’ Opry stars. If you enjoy old-fashioned gospel singing the way it was a few years back, Saturday night, Aug. 13, is for you.

There is no ticket charge for this concert, but a free will love offering will be received for Donnie and Gayla, both who have battled cancer for several years.

Even though this event is being held at the First Christian Church in Gallatin, you needn’t be a member to enjoy the evening. Everyone in the community is welcome.

So, gather up a few friends, and mark your calendars for Aug. 13 for some good fellowship, and ministry in country style gospel music.
