Pattonsburg R-2 will begin the next school year at 8:06 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Students may enter the building at 7:40 a.m. for the breakfast line.

Students in grades K-6 will be directed to the gym upon arrival if they are not eating breakfast.
Students 7-8 will go to junior high study halls and the high school students will remain in the commons. School day will end at 3 p.m.
Registration for grades 7-12 will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4 and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Aug. 5 in the Ag building. The schedule will be posted on the website at http://www.schoolweb.missouri.edu/pattonsburg.k12.mo.us/ when the Panther Prints, the school’s publication, is placed online.
If you are not able to be there for those dates please call Mrs. Denton or Mr. Hodge to make arrangements. If you are registering a new K-6 student please call Mrs. Cornett the elementary principal.
Students and their parents will meet at 5 p.m. on Aug,16 for Seventh Grade Orientation in the gym. The seventh grade students and parents will be able to meet with Mr. Hodge, the high school principal. They will also be able to meet each teacher they are to have in the upcoming year.
Elementary school students are invited to Meet the Teachers Night from 5-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16. Please bring your school supplies that night.
Varsity sports will start on Aug. 8 and junior high sports will start on Aug. 15.
Dome Technology has started construction on the domes, the board learned in other business at the meeting of the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen held July 18.
The 2011-2012 Handbooks were approved.
The Board accepted the bids presented by MFA Oil, Hy-Vee, Veolia Environmental Services and Anderson Erickson.
The board approved the adoption of the 2011-2012 State Eligibility Guidelines for Free/Reduced Meals. Breakfast and Lunch Prices for the 2011-2012 School Year remained the same as the 2010-2011 school year prices. Prices are: breakfast $1 at elementary and $1.25 at high school and $2 for adults. Reduced Breakfast: 30 cents at both the elementary and high school. Lunch: $1.50 at elementary and $1.75 at high school and $2.75 for adults.
The board voted to continue membership to MARE (Missouri Association of Rural Educators).
Contracted transportation bus services to Vo-Tech were approved.
The Tax Rate Hearing will be held prior to the next scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16. The regular board meeting will follow the tax rate hearing.
