Private family funeral services for Beverly Spears will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe. There has been a cremation. Beverly Jean Spears, 61, Chillicothe, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Boone County Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
Beverly was born Dec. 16, 1949, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Edgar Franklin McKiddy and Lorna Bernice Wilson McKiddy.
She was a graduate of Truman University, Kirksville.
On Aug. 30, 1969, Beverly married Michael P. Spears in Jamesport. He survives of the home.
Beverly was a homemaker and English teacher.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar McKiddy and brother, Walter Earl McKiddy.
Survivors include her husband, Michael P. Spears of Chillicothe; two daughters, Kathleen Spears of Columbia, and Erin Dennis of Chillicothe; mother, Lorna McKiddy of Chillicothe; and one sister, Charlotte Sutton of Chillicothe.
