A Pattonsburg youth was struck by the mirror of a vehicle as he was walking on Hwy. 69 early in the morning Friday, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Ronald Routon, 53, Maysville, was traveling northbound on Hwy. 69 about a tenth of a mile south of Pattonsburg at about 5:15 a.m. on July 1. He swerved to miss Richard Sweat, 18, Pattonsburg, who was walking on the roadway.
Routon’s 2011 Chevrolet struck Richard with the passenger side mirror. Richard was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Bethany Ambulance Service with minor injuries.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.R. Johnston, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Pattonsburg First Responders.
The vehicle had minor damage.
A Utah woman received minor injuries in an ATV accident that happened on private property six miles north of Pattonsburg.
According to the patrol’s report, Joseph Olson, 29, Fort Lee, Va., was operating a 2011 Polaris Razor ATV on private property at about 10 a.m. on July 4. The ATV overturned, landing on the passenger, Jennifer Bergk, 34, of Centerville, Utah.
Bergk was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by private vehicle.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.R. Johnson, assisted by Tpr. A.J. Webb.
The ATV was not damaged.
