A Jamesport man received moderate injuries in an accident in which he was a passenger. The wreck happened at 12 p.m. on June 26, in Mercer County.

A highway patrol report states that Edwin Hostetler, 34, Chillicothe, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet pickup westbound on US 136 about a quarter-of-a-mile east of Princeton.

Brycen Stark, 19, Princeton, was eastbound driving a 2004 Ford pickup. Stark was following a tractor trailer and turned left into the path of Hostetler. Both vehicles came to rest off the north side of the highway.

Stark received moderate injuries. A passenger in the Hostetler vehicle, Marion Kramer, 28, Jamesport, also received moderate injures. Both were treated at the scene by Mercer County Ambulance. None of the men were wearing their seatbelts.

The pickups were extensively damaged.

The accident was investigated by Trp. J. Daly, assisted by Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and Mercer County First Responders.

Pedro Fernandez, 36, Kansas City, Kan., was moderately injured in an accident that happened one mile north of Cameron on I-35 in Daviess County.

The highway patrol reported that Fernandez was driving a 2003 Ford southbound at about 1:50 a.m. on June 27. His vehicle began hydroplaning, went off the left side of the roadway, drove into the median and overturned several times. The Ford came to rest on its top facing west in the left lane of northbound I-35.

Fernandez was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Cameron Ambulance. He was wearing his seatbelt.

The vehicle was totaled.
