Four people were injured in an accident involving three vehicles, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
At about 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, Rodney Dahl, 58, Ridgeway, was northbound on Hwy. 13. Myrle Crown, 80 of Layton, Utah, followed by David Falk, 41, of Morgan, Minn., were southbound.
About three miles north of Gallatin, Crown attempted a left turn. She turned into the path of the Dahl vehicle. The front of the Dahl vehicle struck the passenger side front of the Crown vehicle. After impact, Crown’s car rotated counterclockwise and the front bumper struck the front bumper of the Falk vehicle.
The Dahl and Crown vehicles came to rest in the roadway facing north. The Falk vehicle came to rest in the roadway facing south.
Dahl and a passenger in his vehicle, Daron Wonsetler, 33, Ridgeway, both received moderate injuries. They were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Daviess-DeKalb Ambulance. Crown and a passenger in her vehicle, Leora Warner, 60, Layton, Utah, both had minor injuries. Crown was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton by Grundy County Ambulance. Warner did not seek immediate medical treatment. All involved were wearing their seatbelts.
Dahl was driving a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am which had moderate damage. Crown was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Aveo which had moderate damage. Falk’s 2003 Chevrolet Silverado had minor damage.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.C. Gilliland with assistance from Cpl. L.M. Newman, the Daviess County Sheriff, Jameson First Responders, and Gallatin Fire Department.
