Funeral services for Roger Murphy will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, at Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton. Family visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, June 10 at Slater Funeral Home, 412 E. Ninth St., Trenton. Burial will be in Springer Cemetery, northwest of Brimson. Memorials may be made to Children’s Education Fund and may left at the funeral home.

Roger L. Murphy, 41, Trenton, died Monday, June 6, 2011, in southeast Mercer County as a result of a vehicle accident.
Roger was born April 27, 1970, in Jamesport, the son of Robert and Phyllis Miller Murphy. He graduated form Jamesport High School.
Roger lived in Jamesport and Trenton most of his life and was employed by Walker Construction.
On March 20, 2004, he was married to Delores J. Dixson at Trenton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Murphy, his mother, Phyllis Murphy, and a niece, Jennifer Goodner.
Survivors include his wife Delores of the home; two daughters, Jalea Murphy and Mashia Miller and two sons, Kyle Murphy and Trevor Murphy, all of Trenton; two sisters, Kari Hughs of Brimson and Rose Moore of the state of Florida.
