County Commission
Josh Hurlbert, a representative for Congressman Graves, met with the commission offering assistance in any federal matters. They discussed historical building preservation and bridge funding and other matters.
The commission reviewed the 2010 census reports.
Bob Burnett, Snyder and Associates, met with the commission delivering a progress report and invoice for BRO project 31.
Kevin Hudson, CPA, met with the commission regarding the financial audit of the county. He reported no findings or recommendations for accounts overseen by the commission.
J Gary Holcomb, Salem Township, met with the commission regarding debris undermining a bridge on Axle Avenue. The debris is outside the road right-of-way and permission will have to be obtained from the landowner.
James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, reported that they have added rip rap to several sites and replaced boards on several bridges.
Bills were audited and paid.

Sheriff’s Office
James Harris, 48, Newtown-Harris, was arrested May 28 for felony no valid license. Bond was set at $15,000.
Carl Holcomb Jr., 30, Gallatin, was arrested May 26 for felony passing bad checks. He posted $2,000 bond.
Lester Bryan, 53, Jamesport, was arrested May 24 for a probation violation on an original charge of possession of controlled substance. Bond was denied.
Raelynn Sapp, 20, Excelsior Springs, was arrested May 24 on a probation and parole violation on an original charge of possession of controlled substance at correctional facility. Bond was denied.
Cathy Brown, 53, Jamesport, was charged May 24 with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. She was released with a summons.
Jason Hayes, 30, Chillicothe, was arrested May 29 for misdemeanor DWI. He was held for 12-hour detox and released with a summons.
Lynn T. Braveheart, 34, Minneapolis, Minn., was arrested May 30 for misdemeanor no valid license, and posted $500 bond.
Circuit Court
The following cases were heard by Judge Thomas Chapman on May 27:
In a bench trial, judgment was for the respondent Dudley Brandom, and against the plaintiff City of Gallatin in a small claims Trial De Novo.
Dissolutions of marriage were granted to Walter R. Price from Krystal Hope Price, and to Melisa C. Periman from Steven Ray Periman.
Civil cases filed; Larry K. Burton vs. Mark Koenig and Falcon Express Inc., breach of contract; Lonnie C. Luke vs. Amber E. Luke, dissolution of marriage.

Tami Mildfeldt was charged with felony passing bad checks on May 25.
Traffic Fines
The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri were $1,642.50 for 20 cases. Total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri were $514 for six cases.
