Commissioner Danny Heldenbrand dies

Danny Heldenbrand, 57, died of an apparent heart attack on May 31, pronounced dead at the Cameron Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin are posted with his obituary.

Mr. Heldenbrand was serving as Daviess County Commissioner from District 2, a post he has held since being elected in November 1992. He also presided over the Northwest County Commissioners Association and was a leading player in matters of local economic development and community affairs. He was self-employed in farming southwest of Gallatin.
