The State Fair package will include a fifth band, yet to be named, that will replace the touring band Black Stone Cherry due to a scheduling conflict.

VIP ticket sales began at Ticketmaster May 31, for those belonging to Theory of a Deadman’s Deadfan Club; those signed up for the Carnival of Madness mailing list at www.carnivalofmadness.com, can purchase tickets to the concert beginning June 1.

Tickets for the concert start at $20 and will go on sale to the general public at noon on June 3. Order online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-796-6776. Concert start time on Aug. 20 will be 6:30 p.m.

"The Carnival of Madness brand was incredibly successful in its inaugural event last year," Wolfe said. "This concert will appeal to a rock genre similar to Shinedown, so I expect it to be a near sellout crowd."

Theory of a Deadman is expected to release a new album on July 12, The Truth Is… with the first single, "Lowlife" already on its way up the rock charts. This is the follow up to the band’s previous platinum-selling album Scars and Souvenirs released on April 1, 2008.

Alter Bridge has also made its mark in the rock world and gained much fame from their smash hit, "Isolation," which is currently being followed up by their latest single, "Ghost of Days Gone By."

Las Vegas-based rockers Adelitas Way will release their sophomore album, Home School Valedictorian, on June 7, with Emphatic to debut its new album, Damage, on July 12.

There will be seven other concerts during this year’s Missouri State Fair with these tickets going on sale to the general public at Ticketmaster on June 17. These concerts all begin at 7:30 p.m.

Opening the Pepsi Grandstand series on Aug. 11 will be rising country singers Jerrod Niemann and Candy Coburn, followed on Aug. 12 by classic rock stars Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Doobie Brothers.

Country star Jason Aldean is expected to fill the seats in the grandstand on Sat., Aug. 13, along with Chris Young and Thompson Square.

The classic Country Gold tour will return with eight singing legends on Aug. 14, and bluegrass star Rhonda Vincent and The Rage, Dailey and Vincent and The Next Best Thing will appear on Aug. 17 to wrap up the new Bluegrass Festival at the Fair.

Blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd will take the stage on Aug. 18 with regionally known band Trampled Under Foot. Luke Bryan and Josh Thompson will deliver a final evening of country music on Fri., Aug. 20.

Tickets for all shows including concerts, tractor pulls, auto races and State Fair Arena events will be available at Ticketmaster as well as at the State Fair Box Office. Box Office hours will be noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday June 27 to Aug. 10. During the Fair Aug. 11 to 21, the Box Office will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
