The Daviess County Sheriff’s office made 35 traffic stops during the recent May 4-13, 2012, drunk driving crackdown.
Deputies issued three summonses for speed, one for no proof of insurance and one for no valid license. Deputies made one arrest for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. A total of 33 warnings were issued during the crackdown.
Deputies had no driving while intoxicated or minor in possession arrests made during the campaign, although from year to date, a total of 10 driving while intoxicated and six minor in possession arrests have been made.
Missouri law enforcement participated in the crackdown on underage drinking to ensure Missouri youth celebrate safe and sober so they “Arrive Alive” at prom and graduation.
