Jacob Lichliter won honorable mention for his entry in the painting category and Clinton Brown won honorable mention for his entry in the black and white drawing category during the seventh annual Lawson High School Invitational Juried Art Show held April 29.

Mrs. Siever, art teacher at Pattonsburg High School, entered 17 pieces of work in the show based on artistic merit. Thirteen students from Pattonsburg High School competed: Clinton Brown, Tyler Cameron, Kylie Crone, Jason Cruthis, Emily Dilley, Sarah Emerson, Morgan Gardner, Taylor Gazan, Nikki Gremminger, Jacob Lichliter, Katie Parton, Kyle Taylor, and Tyler Virtue.

There were a total of 203 pieces entered from seven area schools including Stewartsville Middle School and High School, Cameron Middle School, Maysville, Smithville Middle School and High School, East Buchanan, Pattonsburg, and Lawson Middle School and High School.

The show was judged by Holly Spencer, elementary art teacher at Southwest Elementary in Lawson and Rosemary Overstreet high school art teacher in Kearney.

To have work chosen to be in a juried show is also an honor.
