The car was facing eastbound with its driver inside the building when the vehicle was struck in the rear bumper by a black SUV backing out a parking stall. The SUV left the scene.
A passenger in the Malibu, Teri Whitattaker-Applebee, 23, Cainsville, received minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.
The accident happened at about 4:26 p.m. on April 22. It was investigated by Tpr. J.C. Gilliland, assisted by Pattonsburg First Responder.
