Mayor Barb Ballew signed a proclamation declaring May as Motorcycle Awareness Month. Freedom of Road Riders promotes "Sharing the Road" with motorcycles to prevent accidents. City Alderman Carol Walker is shown presenting the proclamation to Steve Gallus of Cameron Local 41. Their ride started in Cameron, then went through Hamilton, Gallatin, Maysville-Albany area, and ended at St. Joseph. They took the signed proclamations to Jefferson City and presented them to the Missouri General Assembly. Carol and Nick are motorcycle enthusiasts themselves and own Cycles in Gallatin.
