Gallatin City Administrator Zac Johnson said he had received the survey information for the CDBG grant. It is very important that the citizens who receive the survey complete it and return it in order for the water plant project to continue.

Johnson discussed issues at the water plant. The plant is struggling to keep up with current demand. Crews are looking to address the concerns before the summer months.
In other business at the meeting of the Gallatin Board of Aldermen held April 25, public comments were made regarding an entrepreneur’s workshop.
Police Chief Mark Richards submitted a report on activity from April 11-25 with the following reports taken and tickets given: four dogs at large; one citizen assist; two funeral escorts; one death investigation; one accident; three out of control juvenile; one building alarm at the high school; one proclamation ride downtown; one C&I; one domestic; one aggressive dog; two warrant service; one pedestrian check; one building alarm/Pamida. There are no dogs in the pound.
Chief Richards stated that the department is watching for code violations.
Street Supervisor Teddy Holcomb stated that the crews have trenched an electric line running up the hill at Hwy. 6 and Hwy. 13, trenched in a new service line on W. Elm, poured concrete at the power plant to fill in a hole where the old generator sat, repaired a water line at the water plant, and worked on street proposals for this summer. The crews will begin work at the pool next week.
Bills in the amount of $20,170.72 were approved for payment.
Discussion was held on a water issue at a commercial business and the mutual aid agreement.
The resignation of Kristie Smith from the Park Board due to personal reasons was accepted.
Trash bids will be discussed at the next meeting, which is set for May 9.
Comments by aldermen were made regarding the motorcycle proclamation ride last weekend.
