The Bulldogs combined for a team score of 205 to finish third in competition behind defending champion Hamilton (169) and Maysville (183). Worth County placed fourth (210), followed by Stanberry (228), Albany (233), South Harrison (240), King City (241) and Princeton (265).

"We had a good day overall," said GHS golf coach Barron Gann. "We travel to Drumm Farms on Thursday for our district tournament," he added. "I think that if Jim plays the way he is capable, he should make it to sectionals. The other four are very capable also but will need to play mistake-free golf. I feel if they can post a score below 100 they will qualify, also," he added.
Also competing in the district tournament, held in Independence, are Concordia, King City, Maysville, Mid-Buchanan, Norborne, Orrick, St. Mary’s and Wentworth Military Academy.
Tyler Carder shot a 59 and finished 7th at the JV tournament in Stanberry on Tuesday.
