Workshop on child abuse for parents set April 28 in Gallatin

North Central Missouri Mental Health Center (NCMMHC) and North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center are teaming up to present a workshop for local parents of abused children with primary focus on the sexually abused child. The workshop to assist parents in dealing with this family issue will be held at 6 p.m. on April 28 at Access II Independent Living Center office in Gallatin, 101 Industrial Drive.

The meeting will consist of a workshop setting with NCMMHC therapist Vera Holder, MA; NCMMHC Dorothy Taul, MS, children and youth director; Verna Kelsey, executive director of the North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center, and Linda Overton, court appointed special advocate (CASA) as presenters.

This free session is open to the public, all interested are encouraged to attend.
