This is a favorite tale of cowhands and farmers finding love and community in the Oklahoma territory in 1906. It’s about the engaging story of cowboy Curly McLain (played by Wes Gay) and his courtship of farm girl Laure Williams (played by Marci Horner).
Adding fun to the story is the on again off again relationship of cowboy Will Parker (Morgan Francis) and his flirtatious fiancée, Ado Annie (Cori Francis).
Songs include "People Will Say We’re in Love," "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’," "The Surrey with the Fringe on Top" and, of course, "Oklahoma!"
Jan Stout, who directed the production Pajama Game in 2009, will be directing "Oklahoma!" and Richard Evans will be on piano. Ann Wood will serve as vocal director, lighting is by Paul Caven, and sound is by Mark Gay.
The supporting cast includes Doug Nichols, Steve Agenstein, Rhonda McCann, Tim Denning, Kenny Youtsey, Andrew Adkison, Annie Gibson, Jackie Nichols, Lance Rains, Troy Elbert, Jeremy Holcomb, Eric Bunch, Sandra Alden, Elaine Bohannon, Carrie Youtsey, Brenda Stinson, Colette Steele, Kaitlyn Bunch.
This production is particularly important as fundraising efforts continue in order to install new seats in Courter Theater. Your donations and support are still very much in demand. Please consider contributing towards the goal of $50,000.
Donations are welcomed any- time between now and June 1. Your support is appreciated.
