Consumer math competes in Stock Market Game

Mr. McCrary’s Consumer Math class consisting of senior Josh Curtis; junior Tyler Cameron; and sophomore Jacob Lichliter is competing in the Stock Market Game.
The students are currently ranked first out of 17 in the region and 39th out of 626 in the state.
This game runs through mid-April.
Gold rush raises funds for childhood cancer
Pattonsburg FBLA and FFA recently sponsored a "gold rush" to raise money for childhood cancer research. The FBLA and FFA sold tokens in memory of people who have been taken by cancer and in honor of those who have won or continue to fight the battle with cancer. They sold "gold rush" t-shirts for everyone to wear at the basketball game; raffled off gold cakes and a sweatshirt donated from the T-Shirt Shop in Bethany; and hosted a half time free throw challenge. About $1,500 was raised to support the Children Cancer Research.
