Funeral services for Mildred Mooney were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 9), at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery, near Gallatin. Memorials may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation in care of the funeral home.

Mildred Mooney, 82, Gallatin, died Saturday March 5, 2011, at her home in Gallatin.

Mildred was born Dec. 26, 1928, in St. Joseph.

She was united in marriage to Jack Mooney on Feb. 26, 1947, in Kansas City, where they lived most of their married lives. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2010, after 63 years of marriage.

Mildred worked in retail sales at Harzfeld’s Department Store at the Blue Ridge Mall for several years. In the late 60’s the couple bought a home at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Mildred enjoyed working with the PTA. She was a member of the garden club and a volunteer at the nursing home.

In 1990 the couple moved to Gallatin.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings and hr husband Jack Mooney.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Mooney, Independence; and one daughter, Linda Algozzini, Redondo Beach, Calif; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
