Tommie Lewis "Tommie" Thompson, 73, Pattonsburg, MO, passed away February 24, 2011 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. He was born March 25, 1937 in Coffey, MO, the son of Lewis Paul and Opal Marie (Murphey) Thompson.

On November 9, 1956 he married Leanna Rose Shipers, she survives of the home.

Tommie was employed by the Missouri Department of Transportation for 25 years, retiring in 1981.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Leanna, of the home; 3 sons, Ronald (Donna) Thompson, Eldorado Hills, CA, Brian (Melissa) Thompson, Cameron, MO, and Bill (Tiffany) Thompson, Smithville, MO; 3 daughters, Lisa (Greg) Hamilton, New York, NY, Paula Wilhite, Branson, MO, and Melanie (Tim) Link, Savage, MN; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Graveside Services and Burial will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, at Coffey Cemetery, Coffey, MO. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO.
