Five members of the Pattonsburg R-2 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) will compete in Columbia on March 17-19 at the State FBLA Contest after qualifying at districts.

The FBLA District Contests were held in Maryville on Feb. 24.
Students qualifying for state were Justin Conover: first in Personal Finance and first in Public Speaking 2; Emily Dilley and Morgan Gardner: first in Desktop Publishing; Courtney Warford: first in Electronic Career Portfolio; Ethan Teel: first in Public Speaking 1.
Conover is a senior; Dilley, Gardner, and Warford are juniors; and Teel is a freshman. Mrs. Smith is the business teacher.
