Norman Keith Alexander, age 79, of Fulton, Mo., passed away at his home, Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011. He was born April 26, 1931, in Hamilton, Mo, the son of Vernon Ellsworth Alexander and Birdie Catherine (Barron) Alexander. He was united in marriage to Norma Jean (Hamilton) Alexander, she preceded him in death; he was then united in marriage on April 21, 1989, to Margaret Louise (Green) Alexander, who preceded him in death on Aug. 21, 2004. His parents, one son, Jeffrey Mark Alexander, one brother, Eugene Alexander and one sister, Doris Cottingham, also preceded him in death.

He is survived by one son, Gary Alexander and his wife, Cheryl, of Jamesport, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Sue Keith of Fulton, Mo., and Janet Ash of Holts Summit, Mo; seven grandchildren, Abby Jo, Tim, Dustin, Tyler, Ashley, Josh and Denny; and seven great-grandchildren.

Norman served our country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the welding and machine industry, operated a Phillips 66 station in Jefferson City, and retired from the Missouri Dept. of Corrections. He was a member of the First Assembly of God, Fulton, Mo. He was active in the Masons, Lion’s Club and VFW.

Funeral services were held at 12 noon, Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo. Visitation was one hour before the service. Interment was in the Callaway Memorial Gardens.
