Gallatin’s 46-33 victory over Princeton on Tuesday locked up a winning record for the Bulldogs in Grand River Conference play, and depending upon this Friday’s outcome, could land them in the third place slot in final league standings.

The Bulldogs shut out the Tigers, 10-0, in the fourth quarter to seal Tuesday’s win on the road. Gallatin takes a 5-3 record into Friday’s trip to Stanberry. The Bulldogs currently trail only Hamilton and South Harrison in conference standings. Those two teams also meet on Friday to decide who wears the 2010-11 boys crown.
Gallatin is at least assured of equaling last season’s 5-4 league mark, despite entering this season minus four starters from that squad.
Seven treys helped the Bulldogs subdue the Tigers. Derrick Lin finished with 14 points on the strength of four three-pointers. Logan Henderson popped a pair of treys and finished with eight points. Chris Cameron also notched a long range bomb.
Brandon Hunt and Isaac Mattis added eight and seven points, respectively, for Gallatin, which improved to 9-12 overall.
Gallatin was able to contain South Harrison’s running game last Friday night but turnovers and poor shot selection contributed to a 61-26 GHS loss.
Daniel and Hunt each scored seven points to lead Gallatin.
