Kaitlyn McNeely started Gallatin off with a lead Tuesday night but Maysville countered with a 17-2 run that put the Lady Wolverines on the road to a 58-27 win. McNeely finished with four points while teammates Kaitlyn Hefley and Tory Wood totaled nine and six points, respectively.
State-ranked Hamilton came away with a 71-3 win on Monday. All GHS points came from the foul line on two Morgan Horvatin free throws and another Celsie Baker foul shot.
A slow start put the Lady Bulldogs in a big hole against King City. The Lady Wildkats grabbed a 17-4 lead at the half and were never threatened in a 46-23 doubling up of the host team.
Baker’s five points were a GHS high. Kaitlyn McNeely and Kailey Elbert each added four for Gallatin.
The Lady Bulldogs, 1-5 in the league and 4-15 overall, take to the road to close out GRC play, heading to South Harrison on Friday, Princeton on Tuesday and Stanberry one week from this Friday.
