The band has earned a reputation for being an outstanding Irish band, according to Chillicothe Area Arts Council administrator, Julie Ashbrook. The five musicians will perform traditional Irish music using fiddle, guitar, mandolin, flute, button accordion, whistle, bones, bodhran and bass and will include both happy and haunting vocals that pay homage to the true spirit of Irish music. "When we booked this band, our regional tourism director, Amy Supple—who is Irish to the core—called her Irish friends in Kansas City just to see if this band was really ok," Ashbrook said. "She was so excited to tell me that her friends couldn’t’ believe we were getting this group to come to Chillicothe. Amy’s friends said the band is terrific and always plays a leading role in the Irish festivals and in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Kansas City, "Ashbrook said.

Tickets are available at the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce or at the door. Adult tickets are $12 and student tickets are $7. Chillicothe Area Arts Council season ticket holders will be admitted with their season ticket. Ticket sales will begin at 2 p.m. and the auditorium doors will open at 2:30.

The program is sponsored by the arts council and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
