T.J. "Jack" Butts, 71, Kidder, died Jan. 22, 2011, at Cameron Regional Medical Center after a long battle with lung cancer.

A memorial service for T.J. Butts was held Monday, Jan. 24, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. The body has been cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Kingston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cameron Cancer Society or Cameron Regional Respiratory Therapy in care of the funeral home.

Jack was born on Nov. 8, 1939, in Kingston, to George Graham Vest Butts and Neva Lewellen Butts. He attended Polo High School.

He had previously been a serviceman in the Air Force.

Jack worked for Cen-Am in Cameron for several years.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge 2615.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and a step-brother.

Survivors include his soul mate, Mary Weldon, of the home, Kidder; two daughters, Pamela Fletchall, Winston, and Tonya M. Jackson, Fairland, Okla.; two sons, Jeff A. Butts, Cameron, and Tony R. Butts, Joplin; and nine grandchildren.
