Daviess County Soil and Water Conservation District state cost-share sign up begins Tuesday, Feb. 1 though Monday, Feb. 28 at the USDA Service Center in Gallatin.

This is a one time sign up for the cost-share year. Funds will become available after July 1, 2011, and continues through June 30, 2012. District Cooperators/Landowners may receive state cost-share every other year for sheet, rill, and gully erosion practices. Cost-share practices that landowners may be interested in applying for are: Terrace Systems, Terrace Systems with Tile, Water Impoundment Reservoirs, Sediment Retention Control Structures, Sod Waterways, Diversions, Pasture Seedlings, Permanent Vegetative Cover, Grazing Management, Filter Strips, Field Borders, and Well Decommissioning.
Absentee landowner’s may use a landowner signature authorization sheet that is available at the district office giving a designated person authority to sign cost-share forms. Forms are needed at the time of sign-up. Authorization forms will be kept on file until the landowner cancels this authorization by notifying the District Board of Supervisors in writing.
All previous cost-share application on file will be cancelled at the end of June.
