I am in search of any information about a silver spike that was driven when the Chicago and Southwestern Railroad was joined both coming to the point from two different directions and meeting in Calfax township a few miles from Winston.

The spike was driven in June of 1871. I would appreciate any information that anyone has on the subject. If you have any information that would be helpful call me at my home in Gallatin at 660-663-3889 ro write me at 202 East Burns, Gallatin, Mo., 64640.
