On Thursday, Jan. 6, authorities in Oklahoma arrested Paul H. Asher of Cameron on warrants out of Gallatin for one count of child molestation (Class B Felony) and three counts statutory sodomy (Unclassified Felony). These charges were issued by the Daviess County prosecutor as a result of the Gallatin Police Department’s investigation into the alleged sexual molestation of a minor that occurred in Gallatin over a period of five years starting in 2001. The Gallatin Police assisted by the State Technical Assistance Team (STAT) investigated these complaints which occurred in several locations in multiple cities including Gallatin. Mr. Asher is currently in custody in Oklahoma and is awaiting extradition to Missouri.
