Charles "Allan" Maddox, a 32-year employee of the Missouri Department of Transportation will retire on Jan. 1, 2011.

Allan will retire as the maintenance supervisor at the Gallatin maintenance facility. Allan started working for the department in 1979, and worked in maintenance in the Daviess County area out of the Gallatin building throughout his career.
Allan and his wife Cathy live near Gallatin. They have three daughters and five grandchildren.
"We appreciate the many years of dedication and service Allan has given to the department. We wish him a very happy retirement," commented District Engineer Don Wichern.
