Carl A. Carder, a 27-year employee of the Missouri Department of Transportation will retire on Jan. 1, 2011.

Carl will retire as an intermediate construction inspector at the Cameron area office. Carl started with MoDOT in 1984 working in maintenance at the Gallatin building, where he worked for 14 years before transferring to the construction office.
Carl and his wife Sherri live near Gallatin. They have two daughters, Brandi and Brooke. They also have two grandchildren.
