Teresa M. Wray, 45 of Jamesport, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, as the result of a car accident. Services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Family visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. Burial was at Clear Creek Cemetery, near Jamesport. Memorial contributions may be made to the Green Hills Animal Shelter in Trenton or the Jamesport First Responders, in care of the funeral home.
Teresa was born July 29, 1965 to Floyd and Donna (Buzzard) King in King City, Mo. She attended school in Jameson. Teresa married Mike Walker in 1981; to this union their son Ronnie was born. In the early 80’s Teresa was employed at the Stride-Rite Shoe factory in Hamilton for several years. In 1990 she worked at Casey’s General Store in Gallatin. She also worked at the Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron and Landmark Manufacturing near Gallatin. She was currently employed at Con Agra in Trenton. Teresa was united in marriage to Donnie Wray Sept. 1, 2006 in Gallatin. The couple made their home in Jamesport. Donnie and Teresa enjoyed the time they shared working at the Wray Bait and Tackle shop in Jamesport. She would also help at the Country Cupboard Restaurant in town whenever called upon, always willing to go the extra mile.
Teresa was an animal lover and always had time to help a furry friend in need. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening as well as caring for her many house plants. She was an excellent cook and it was said that she made the ‘best apple pie ever’. She was a fun loving person who enjoyed having a good time, her warm smile and gentle nature will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Floyd (Gabby) King, step father, Seth Sharrah, father-in-law, Larry Wray, maternal grandparents, Nellie and Elma Buzzard, paternal grandparents, Charles and Edith King, Step-grandparent, Ernie Morris, great nephew, Dakota Gilreath and step sister, Victoria Curtis.
Survivors include her husband Donnie Wray of the home, children: Ronnie Walker (Cassie) of Gallatin, Leslie Brown (Derek) of Dunlap, Mo., Gibb & Denten Wray of Jamesport, mother: Donna Sharrah of Gallatin, mother-in-law: Ethel Wray of Jamesport; siblings, Tammy King of Gallatin, Christy (Bill) Clark of New Hampton, Mo., Tracy (Jolene) King of Gallatin, step-brother: Terry (Charlene) Kinnison of Jameson; brother-in-law, Dean Wray of Jamesport; grandchildren, Teri and Paris Walker, and Morgan Brown; nieces, Shanna (Daniel) Clark, Bailey Mehrhoff, Laurie King, Gabby Clark; nephews, Justin Moody, Thomas King; great nieces, McKenzie Gilreath and Ashlyn Clark and great nephew, Hunter Gilreath.
