Funeral services for Letha Fisher will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Stroup-Thompson Funeral Home, Winston. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., prior to services. Burial is at Winston Cemetery. Memorial fund: Emporia United Methodist Church.
Letha Leah Fisher, 89, Liberty, formerly of Emporia, Kan., died on Dec. 5, 2010.
Letha was born on Oct. 30, 1921, in Winston, to Lawrence and Gladys (Gooding) Heldenbrand.
She was a member of the Emporia United Methodist Church and of the Auxiliary UTU.
Letha was an owner/operator of a liquor store in Emporia, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Florence Boring, Shirley DeLaCruz, and infant Linda Maxine Heldenbrand; and four brothers, Reuben, Loren, Robert, and Kenneth Heldenbrand.
Survivors include one son, Eddie Fisher, Gladstone; one brother, Gerald Heldenbrand, Winston; three sisters, Bertha Steele, Lithonia, Ga., Virginia Vestal, Odessa, and Frances Mazzucca, Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
