Wrestling season began last Thursday for Gallatin R-5 grapplers as they fell to one of the top programs in the state, Marceline, 66-6. In a double dual Tuesday night, Trenton defeated Gallatin, 66-12, and Gallatin knocked off South Harrison, 28-23.
Mitchell Lewis was the lone match winner for Gallatin in the Marceline dual. Peter Steele and Myrick McLey each won by pin against Trenton opponents. Lewis won again, this time by major decision, against his South Harrison foe. Sterling Steele, Peter Steele, McLey and Colton Trimble each picked up a victory by forfeit.
