Funeral services for Sandra Gastineau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Family visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at the Grand River Cemetery near Jameson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandra Gastineau Memorial Fund or the Grand River Cemetery in care of the funeral home.

Sandra K (Pearson) Gastineau, 48, Lathrop, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at the Northcare Hospice House North Kansas City Hospital.
Sandra was born Jan. 11, 1962, to Delbert and Joan (Wilmot) Pearson in Chillicothe. She grew up in Jameson and graduated from Jameson High School in 1980. After graduation Sandra cleaned houses for a short period of time and later attended Trenton Junior College where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate. In 1990 she began her nursing career at the Daviess County Care Center in Gallatin where she took care of the residents for two years.
Sandra was united in marriage to Terry Gastineau on Aug. 19, 1992, in Gallatin. The couple made their home in Cameron for a short period of time before moving to Lathrop in 1994. Sandra started working at the Liberty Terrace Care Center and dedicated 14 years to her profession. She retired in 2005 due to failing health.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father Delbert Pearson in 1993 and her father-in-law Ron Gastineau in 2009.
Survivors include her husband Terry, two sons, Raymond and Aaron Gastineau, her mother, Joan Pearson, all of Lathrop.
