James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, reported that this week they will be working in Jefferson Township and plan to install tubes in Marion Township.

Bills were audited and paid.

The commission inspected the progress of the improvements to the elevator and scheduled installation of the phone.

Notification was received from the Missouri Department of Public Safety granting a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant award of $8,185.43 for 2011.

In the afternoon, the commission inspected roads in Lock Springs Special Road District, Harrison, and Monroe Townships.

Philip Berry, deputy sheriff, met with the commission regarding personnel policy issues.

These are the unapproved minutes of Nov. 29, 2010. All commissioners were present, as well as Randy Sims, presiding commissioner-elect.

Sheriff’s Office

Mekin Oesterle, 35, Kansas City, was charged Nov. 28 with misdemeanor no valid license and speeding. Bond was set at $2,000. He also had a felony probation warrant from Kansas on an original charge of making false claim to Medicaid.

Christopher Eason, 26, Lock Springs, was charged Nov. 26 with misdemeanor passing bad checks. He posted $200 bond.

Circuit Court

Civil cases filed: John David Mathews vs. Brandi Dawn Mathews, dissolution of marriage; Amanda Parker vs. Ideker Inc. and Missouri Highway and Transportation, personal injury, vehicular.

Transcript judgments were filed by LIRC, Division of Employment Security against Barney Esbeck and Falcon Express Inc.

Certificates of Lien, DOR, taxes, were filed by the State of Missouri ex rel against Sidney Martin, David L. Jones, Kyle Waltemeyer, Samual Woolsey and Samantha Grubbs, Christopher and Andrea Anderson, and Clay Auction LLC. Four certificates of lien were filed against OW Newberry Inc.

Associate Division

Defendants found guilty in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County are listed below with the offense and fine assessed. Additionally, court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $68.50 for moving traffic violations and $116.50 in most criminal cases. Judge Daren Adkins presided over the following cases:

Shannon L. Meador, Potosi, criminal non-support amended to misdemeanor, six months jail, suspended execution of sentence, two years probation, five days shock jail.

Christopher J. Hensley, Independence, driving while intoxicated, suspended imposition of sentence, two year probation, one day shock jail; speeding, suspended imposition of sentence, two years probation, eight hours community service.

Elvia M. Mercado, Des Moines, Iowa, driving while intoxicated, $350.

Donald R. King, Gallatin, driving while intoxicated, $350; careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, $38.50.

Janet L. Juhl, Jamesport, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, $38.50.

Nicholas M. Baldini, Kidder, failed to drive on right half of roadway involving an accident, $38.50.

Traffic Fines

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $660 for 10 cases. Total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $464.50 for 10 cases. Court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $58.50 for moving traffic violations. Missouri defendants, offenses and fines are listed below:

Speeding: Anthony W. Nderitu, Riverside, $28.50; Rogers N Strickland, Weston,$58.50; Casondra M. Foster, Kansas City, $58.50; Anna C. Gambaro, St. Louis, $58.50.

No seat belt: Patricia K. McLaughlin, Jamesport, $10; Cassi J. Nible, Bethany, $10; Jimmy D. Seib, Gallatin, $10; Stacy J. Craig, Bethany, $10.

Failed to drive in single lane having two or more lanes: Chatel Mayes, Liberty, $103.50.
