Corporal Brian D. Holcomb has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and will remain in his current assignment of background investigator in the Gaming Division.

Holcomb was appointed to the Patrol on Jan. 1, 1995, as a member of the 69th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 1, Atchison County. He transferred to the Gaming Division in 1999, and was promoted to the rank of corporal in 2002. The 15-year veteran is a graduate of Pattonsburg High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Northwest Missouri State University. Sergeant Holcomb and his wife, Mary, have two daughters, Grace and Natalie.
