Andrea Lockridge has been named Corporate Secretary for Cameron Insurance Companies.
Lockridge joined the company in June 2007 as General Counsel, and succeeds Janet Stonum as Corporate Secretary, who announced her retirement Oct. 11.
Lockridge will assume oversight of the Human Resources department and serve as corporate secretary in a mutual insurance company environment, as well as continuing her general counsel responsibilities.
"Andi brings an excellent combination of both a legal and business background to her new position on the executive staff," stated Gary Myers, President/CEO. "She will be a major contributor to our efforts as we move forward in the execution of our strategic plan."
Lockridge earned her undergraduate degree in finance, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Missouri. She continued her education at the MU School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of the class in 2004. In 2003, she authored an article addressing class action arbitration, which was published in the Journal of Dispute Resolution.
Following graduation, she was invited to join the Kansas City offices of the international law firm, Bryan Cave LLP. There she enjoyed a short but successful commercial litigation and construction law career.
"I am excited about the opportunity to work closely with our board of directors," Lockridge stated, "and to be a part of the positive direction the company is moving."
When she joined Cameron Insurance Companies in 2007, it allowed her to stay close to her northwest Missouri roots and family, while entering a field that she found both challenging and rewarding. She lives in rural Cameron with her husband Dallas, and their two children, Sydney, four, and Gage, one. She is the daughter of Darryl and Elizabeth Wilkinson of Gallatin.
