This past Saturday, the Gallatin Band was represented at District Band Auditions by 13 students: Bo Malo, Michael Youd, Daniel Argyle, Jack Malo, E.J. Owings, Chad Robertson, Melinda Hess, Johnnie Dale, Jasmine Ramirez, Wyatt Owings, Jonah Flanders, Coby Brogan, and C.J. Richards.

Student who received placement or receive an alternate position in the All-District Honor Band will be auditioning for the All-State Band in Columbia at Columbia Hickman High School on Dec. 4. Those students are Bo Malo, Michael Youd, E.J. Owings, and Chad Robertson.
The GHS band students auditioned for either the District Junior High Band, or the District High School Band which consisted of the Concert Band; which is the second band, and the Honor Band; which is the top band. Eight students made one of these bands.
The chair placements are as follows: Coby Brogan received third chair trombone in the Junior High Band. Jonah Flanders received first alternate trombone in the Junior High Band.
Bo Malo received first chair baritone saxophone in the Concert Band, and first alternate baritone saxophone in the Honor Band. Michael Youd received ninth chair trombone in the Honor Band. Daniel Argyle received fourth chair in the Concert Band. E.J. Owings received fourth chair Bbb tuba in the Honor Band. Chad Robertson received first chair Eb contra alto clarinet in the Honor Band and seventh chair Bb soprano clarinet in the Honor Band. Melinda Hess received third chair Bb soprano clarinet in the Concert Band.
