Gallatin’s enrichment class, taught by Mrs. Kim Brammer, held a medieval banquet on Oct. 26 for an audience of 60 people. Each student played a role in the banquet. The banquet began with the entrance of King Graydee Rains. Lord Riley Hagan welcomed the guests and made introductions.

Music was played by minstrel Jarod Rains and servant Gabby Johnson. Sir D.J. Schlaiss, servant John Gibson, and servant Jordan France read a portion of the poem, "Beowulf." "Ring around the Rosy" was played by servant Gabby Johnson, Queen Zoe Bradford, Lady Hannah Stith, and Lady Emma Qualman while Squire Hayley Michael explained the history behind the song.

Servant Gabby Johnson, Queen Zoe Bradford, Lady Hannah Stith and Lady Emma Qualman sang the original version of "London Bridge." The poem, "Lord Randall," was read by Servant Jade Wayne and Lord Riley Hagan. Lady Meredith Riley and Servant Briar Roll performed a dance that they choreographed to medieval music. Jokes were performed by Jester Patrick McNickle. A knight dubbing ceremony was performed by King Graydee Rains and Sir D.J. Schlaiss where Squire Hayley Michael became a knight. Servants Briar Roll, Gabby Johnson, Jade Wayne, John Gibson, and Jordan France served four courses of food (scones, sausage, grapes, and gingerbread) during the banquet. Castles, illuminated letters, and shields made by the students were on display. The medieval banquet was also performed on Nov. 2 for the elementary students.
