Nelson is offering unbiased help with Medicare Part D. Medicare’s prescription drug plan annual open enrollment is Nov. 15-Dec. 31. Medicare beneficiaries are encouraged to do a plan comparison to assure proper drug coverage for 2011 benefits.
The Northwest Missouri Area Agency on Aging network, including the Active Aging Resource Center, will assist Medicare recipients to better understand this year’s changes in coverage and assist with plan comparisons. We can help answer questions like:
What is changing with my plan?; Are my prescriptions still covered?; Is there ‘extra help’ with the costs?; What is MoRx and how can it help?
If you receive a letter from Social Security regarding your "low income subsidy" or "extra help" benefits for 2011 it is important that you complete and return the redetermination form within 30 days to continue receiving the extra help. If you have questions or need assistance, we can help.
Please call Vera or Deanna at the Active Aging Resource Center toll free at 1-866-587-2272 or Gallatin local phone at 660-663-2828 for more information. You may also want a prescription Drug Plan Comparison worksheet or dates when staff will be in your area for a personal consultation.
