The program hosted by Vera Nelson the Aging and Disability Resource Consultant for Daviess County, will offer application and assistance for those whose incomes qualify. Janna Barton of the Green Hills Community Action Agency Community Coordinator will also be available.

In addition Vera will be assisting medicare beneficiaries with their Part D worksheets. Medicare is making many changes for the 2011 year for the prescription drug coverage and the Active Aging Resource Center is strongly encouraging seniors to have their Medicine compared against their current drug coverage.

Seniors are being given worksheets to fill out in advance and then send into the Active Aging Resource Center so that all the paperwork is done before the Medicare beneficiary actually walks in the door for a comparison plan analysis.

If you are unable to attend the program on Wednesday at Pattonsburg, but would like more information on the Part D worksheet contact Vera or Deanna Lewis, administrator, at Gallatin at 660-663-2828.
