Betty Ethridge, 85, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
Betty was born Jan. 25, 1925, to Clyde and Edna (Adair) Leslie in Omaha, Neb. She graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1943.
Betty was united in marriage to Walter Ethridge Aug. 4, 1950. The couple made their home in Kansas City where Betty worked at a bank. She quit her job and became a stay at home mom to take care of the children. After the children were grown Betty pursued a career in real estate and opened Ridge Real Estate.
After Betty and Walt retired they purchased an RV and traveled all over the United States. In 1995 the couple made their home at Lake Viking and would travel to Arizona for the winter.
Betty was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sister.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Walt, of Gallatin; two sons, Frank Ethridge, Jr. and Roger Ethridge, both of Kansas City; one daughter Susan Bellante, Kansas City; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
