Freshman Kirbie Crouse crushed a triple in the top of the seventh inning that scored three runners and gave the Lady Bulldogs an 11-10 victory over Worth County on Monday.

Kaitlyn Hefley laced a single down the right field line and beat the throw from the outfield. Kaitlyn McNeely put down a bunt and reached on an errant throw. Both she and Hefley were able to advance one base when the ball got away. Megan Beck walked to load the bases and that set the stage for Crouse’s triple to right-centerfield.

Gallatin led, 8-0, through four innings but the Lady Tigers scored four times in the fifth and six times in the sixth to take a 10-8 lead.

Beck finished with three runs scored. Crouse added a single to her total and scored twice. Morgan Horvatin went 3-for-5 with a double and run and earned the victory on the mound in relief of Celsie Baker. Kylie Cameron and Ashley Burns each singled, scored and drove in a run. Baker had a pair of hits and scored. Hefley added a double to her single and a run scored. Kaitlyn McNeely hit safely and scored a run.

vs. King City

The Lady Bulldogs grabbed a 3-2 lead in the first inning against King City on Tuesday but could not hold on for a win. The Lady Wildkats scored in five of seven innings to walk away with a 14-4 victory.

Burns drove in a pair of runs in the opening frame with a single after consecutive doubles by Horvatin, Cameron and Baker. Beck singled to open the fifth inning and came home on an rbi-single from Cameron, who finished 3-for-4 on the day.

Baker added a single to her hit total. Crouse and Becca Mott also hit safely.

vs. Hamilton

Gallatin played nearly even with defending GRC champ Hamilton last Thursday before losing with a 6-1 final margin. The Lady Hornets took a 3-0 lead after two innings but the Lady Bulldogs got on the board in the top of the third when Megan Beck singled and scored on a Horvatin double.
