Pattonsburg R-2 scored 14 out of 14 points on the Annual Performance Report (APR), a performance that places the school in the "Distinction in Performance" category in Missouri. R-2 met all areas of the federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and (APR) this year.

During their Sept. 20 meeting, the Pattonsburg R-2 Board of Education accepted a bid to add a 30 foot by 60 foot addition to the bus barn to house two additional busses.

There are 85 students in grades K-6 and nine preschoolers. August attendance was at 95.53%. Students in grades 3-6 traveled to Lamoni, Iowa, to view the "Moving Wall." The trip was sponsored by a grant from Modern Woodman. Professional development through the School Improvement Grant has begun with Northwest RPDC. Training will be held at the upcoming in-service on new "clickers" and staff will be breaking down MAP and EOC data.

There are 72 students in grades 7-12 and the August attendance was 96.88%. Marching band was recognized for its performance in the King City homecoming parade. HS boy’s softball team received second place at the HDC tournament. Junior high co-op softball with King City won the JH invitational. Junior high basketball practice started Monday and with help from North Daviess the school will have 13 girls and 15 boys for this season.

Mid-term was held. The quarter will end on Oct. 15. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Oct. 21.

Diana Closterman from Westbrook & Co., P.C. presented the audit report which the board accepted. The complete report and the district’s financial statements are available for public viewing at the office of the superintendent.

The Board renewed the two CD’s that were due.
