Norman Rae Martin, 82, Omaha, Neb., died on Sept. 3, 2010.
Norm was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Kansas City, the son of Cecil and Forest (Game) Martin. A year later, his family moved to Pattonsburg.
Norm spent 12 years at Pattonsburg school. He lettered four years on the basketball team. He was president of the student body in 1945.
Norm went to Trenton Junior College, then into the Army.
Later, he joined the Pamida store group. He was vice-president with Pamida after 31 years.
His family includes his wife, Doris; two daughters, Tammy Rea of Omaha, Neb., and Kathy Spry of Columbia; sister Betty Faddis, Columbia; and seven grandchildren.
