County Commission
James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, reported that they are still working on a bridge in Harrison Township.
Matt Clark, Lincoln Township, met with the Commission regarding damage to bridges and roads following the five inches of rain over the weekend.
Reta Rains, Daviess County Collector-Treasurer, filed her certificate of training for the year.
Sheriff Ben Becerra met with the Commission concerning towing costs of impounded vehicles.
The commission executed three copies of an agreement for county supplemental child support enforcement. They also signed copies of the five-county agreement for child support enforcement.
Bob Burnett, Snyder and Associates, met with the Commission for the submission of invoice number five, for BRO project (31) on bridge number 56500201in Grand River Township.
In the afternoon, the commission attended training at the Daviess County Health Office for the scheduled flu shots and inspected roads in Lincoln and Jackson Townships.
The commission sent a letter to Veolia Solid Waste Midwest, Inc., regarding an eight-ton weight limited bridge, number 4310024, on 292nd Street in Jamesport Township.

Sheriff’s Office
Jason Allen Short, 27, Maysville, was charged Sept. 16 with assault on law enforcement officer second degree, class B felony. Short was incarcerated in the regional jail at the time of the incident on charges of child molestation, sodomy and sexual misconduct. On the new charge, bond was set at $65,000.
Andrea Hudson, 24, St. Joseph, was charged Sept. 15 with harassment, class A misdemeanor. Bond was set at $250.
John Risetter, 39, Bondurant, Iowa, was arrested Sept. 17 on a St. Charles County warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor count of passing bad checks. He posted $200 bond.
Jason Ellis, Minneapolis, Minn., was charged Sept. 17 as a probation absconder on an original charge of possession of marijuana, class C felony. Bond was denied.
Troy Smith, 38, Ridgeway, was arrested Sept. 20 for no valid license, class A misdemeanor. Bond was set at $600.

Penny Chenault, Weatherby, was charged Sept. 16 with three felony counts of passing bad checks.
Michael Rumsower, Cameron, was charged Sept. 16 with two felony counts of passing bad checks.
