According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol the three vehicles were eastbound on Hwy. 6 behind a pilot car at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 10. Mrs. Jones was driving a 1994 Chevrolet, and Glendoris Crownover, 72, Independence, was driving a 2004 Dodge, and Robert Burkeybile, 42, Trenton, was driving a 1995 Ford.
Mr. Burkeybile and Mrs. Crownover slowed for traffic. Mrs. Jones failed to slow and struck the Crownover vehicle. The Crownover vehicle then struck the Burkeybile vehicle.
Mrs. Jones was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Daviess County Ambulance.
The Jones Chevrolet was extensively damaged. The Crownover Dodge was moderately damaged and the Burkeybile Ford had minor damage.
