The Missouri Chapter of the Walnut Council will hold a field tour on Saturday, Oct. 2, at the James Ball tree farm east of Polo.

The tour will showcase results of tree thinning and walnut planting and provide an update on the threat of Thousand Cankers Disease. There will also be discussion on weed control and an opportunity to practice pruning on walnut trees. A short meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and the first field tour will begin at 10.
